Angry The reason for terrible accident

I purchased a set BC coilovers on May 2008 and installed the kit in my car . I only drive my car for daily work, and have put it approximately 4000 miles.

I drove my car on highway with my family last Sunday, all of a sudden, I had this happen to me after the car was out of control (see the attached images).

Holly shit, it was ridiculous!! The product is a crap, I am going to sue this company for this ‘shit’ product.

Re: The reason for terrible accident

from the pics it looks like the thread has snapped at the mount, the threads look clean for about the thickness of the lock ring to me.

Re: The reason for terrible accident

Some clearer pics would be better because it looks like, to me anyway, that it's not been threaded in enough and has popped out.
I've had these fitted to my '06 Forester STi for around 10k and over 600miles have been at The Ring, with another 600 odd miles in August to come and have had no problem(touch wood!!).

Irrespective of what happened,I'm just glad that everyone's safe and sound

Pete

Re: The reason for terrible accident

1) The pictures are not clear as to the cause of the failure, it appears that the bottom mount wasnt wound sufficiently up the damper body.

2) Those arent the BC Racing coilovers sold in the UK. The UK BC Racing coilovers are a completely different product.

3) Out of thousands and thousands of BC Racing coilovers kits sold over the past 5 years we have not seen one single similar incident nor anything comparible.

4) There are a number of BC Racing copy coilovers being sold at the moment including these:

bg coilovers, eBay Motors items on eBay.com

Make sure you buy from an authorised dealer so you know youre getting the genuine product. UK BC Racing coilovers are gold and black, not red and black. Stick to the genuine product from a genuine dealer and youll have no problems.

Id beg to differ with that Tidgy, buddy got a new set of KW coilovers for his Integra Type R and we fitted 3 and adjuster broke on last one without even forcing it was a joke when he spent in the region of €1200 for them and they suppose to be a top product they did replace free of charge but if you wait so long to get them and try to fit them to a car they should be perfect
