I'm just glad i didn't buy a white spec C, i've heard that the WR blue paint is more flame retardant.....................

Shhhiiiitttt............ , doesn't say much for the spec C oil cooler.... (check the link, there is also alink to the original thread on SIDC.........)

Conversation in the car :

Driver... Is it me or is it quite cold for this time of the year?

Passenger.... I will put the heater up a bit...

Driver... that feels better, my feet are already much warmer

You can make the rest up yourselves... but lets just say it proves the lengths some people will go to reduce the weight on thier spec C's

My tears would have put out the fire... poor sod

Bear in mind that this was a 500bhp car regularly used on the srtip, ihe was on way to Crail at the time. I think it was caused by either the oil feed as Ed mentioned or a holed block.

Unfortunately, these things can happen in highly tuned motors.
