Advice please

Ok guys and gals..

I have £ 200 that I must spend on my 98 turbo wagon

The car is mostly standard apart from 3'' pipe with centre cat removed

If the money was yours... what would you buy for my Fido? the money has to be spent before the end of May

De-cat down pipe?
Drop links and anti roll bar
Lowering springs
New bushes
Etc etc......

Any ideas... gratefully accepted... this is my first classic scoob... always had newish ones with ppp's and uprated everything in the past... so this is fun... as no warranty issues or main stealers on my back...

Thanks for the pointers in advance...

Re: Advice please

I would go for de-cat. You get a bit more performance plus a lovely deep burble sound.

Re: Advice please

I'd go for the drop links or some roll bars. Rag it about a bit more !

De cat... drop links... ARB...springs... bushes... ahhh!

My choice too. For the money you'll get more benefit from these mods imo than the performance mods. Can uprate the panel filter, brakes etc. next time they need changing anyway. Just seems a more economical way of doing things to me. Though i would be tempted by the de-cat to be honest.

Thanks... sort out handling before adding power is the sensible thing to do... But if I was sensible... I would not keep buying Imprezas
  • Going for de-cat now
  • Springs and induction kit in June
  • ARB, bushes and drop links in July
I have just replaced all discs and pads (last month)

Putting centre cat back on for MOT in August and will have Cambelt and tensioner change... due on time not on miles in August... will change pulleys at same time

Thanks guys for your pointers....

Re: Advice please

i would try and source a second hand decat down pipe for the first hundred quid and get an adjustable rear ARB with the second hundred quid. Bugger the drop links they make no difference. i would follow up with some springs. i had APEX ones they are a good budget spring that lowered the car and hardened the ride up a bit - about £100.
