Ted 'The Count' Hankey and Darts

after a thrilling final Ted Hankey finally did it at the lake side country club in Frimley green Camberley Surrey. Apparently he has cut down from 12 pints before a match as of last year and is now only consuming a modest and healthy 3 to 6 pints before entering the stage.
It's been of some ambition of mine to make it down to the lakeside and this year i finally did.......................

If you ever need your spirits lifted i recommend a day out at the Darts.
Cheers Andrew

here's myself and Partner Sarah with England Captain Martin 'Wolfie' Adams after quite a few 'refreshments'...............

we were sitting on the next table to where Ray Stubbs was interviewing Bobby George..................

Cool!

You manage a chat with Bobby George?

Used to watch the darts all the time. Darts is HUGE here, but sadly they only play the silly electronic kind you put money in. Darts bars everywhere and they have dozens of those machines in'em. Even popular with young girls here.

Believe it or not Phil Taylor is a minor celebrity. His poster is in all the bars and darts shops.

Re: Ted 'The Count' Hankey and Darts

got a bit star struck when seeing bobby george and ray stubbs, we just left them to get on with what they had to do. ray stubbs was really chubby in real life, he got jeered by the whole crowd when on stage but he did not react or acknowledge the crowd so thumbs down for him. Bobby had yellow teeth and a big belly.................thats all i can comment on

overall the atmosphere was fantastic and although you could argue that there is a bettter league i.e phil taylor etc......,,, you cannot beat the lakeside carnival atmosphere. i'll be looking to get tickets for next year.
