Re: help needed pls
going from a none turbo car to a turbo car you'll notice a big difference in how to drive it, keep the revs up and it'll fly.
turbo cars prefer to be reving where the turbo can be spooled up straight away, mine drive like a pig if i keep it under 3 k revs, but then if i keep it over 4k revs it takes of like a scalded cat lol

Re: help needed pls
it will go from 80 to 140 with no worries in a shot but so will your bank balance so the thing that keeps me at 80 or below is the fact that it does 35mpg at 70 and 15 mpg at 100 10mpg at 140 plus..lol not that ive prooved it or anything

Re: help needed pls
My previous non performance petrol car would do around 440 - 470 miles on 60 litres of 95 RON unleaded fuel. Had it for 5 years. Changed to the subaru and woaaaaaaaaaah what a difference. Although it is worth it when I start it up in the garage and it sounds like I'm in a drum and bass arena!! Blooming amazing. STILL can't get over the car. (sorry - must be getting a bit boring for you all now!)

Re: help needed pls
jimmyp - I'm the same as you. I have been driving at on the motorway to work under 70mph not giving it any hard accelaration either. As previous post got 220 miles on 3/4's of a tank. Will keep trying but I think I will soon give that up and enjoy the cars full performance (cos that's the reason I bought it FFS!)

Re: help needed pls
Had my scooby a month now,and at 70 mph getting between 29 - 35 mpg, when you start giving it plenty, its like a lagerlout on a stag night.lol Much better than the twin turbo'd legacy i had before, which would average about 10 mpg when both turbo's were on reheat.
Ifcadiep, these cars are rally bred, and as said above in the earlier post are really at there best when the turbo is spooling up. It can take a while to get use to,but then its pleasure all the way. p.s when was the last time you saw richard burns driving below 3000 rpm. lol |
