Done speedin

evenin all,

need some info from any peeps in the know. How long does it take to find out if you've been done by a gatso? i'm asking because i think i might have been done this morning on the a1 around the clumber turn off . not sure if it got me or the truck in front of me because i was concentrating on what the sat nav was blaring about when i noticed the hatchings on the road, looked in the mirror and saw the flashes but i was still well within the hatches

nightmare m8.

The only advice i can give you is that if you dont receive anything in the post within 2 weeks then you are pretty much in the clear. But for now its a waiting game

i'm no expert, but i thought the law gave you 10% + 2, so you'd need to be doing 57??. anyways, if you are feeling apprehensive or stupid, it could be worse. i got caught doing 111mph.

tom,

remember tom toms are different to your actual speedo. really i think they should be more accurate than your speedo. cos your speedos always a bit over what your really doing.

you will hear from them in about 3 days if youve been done. but they have 14 days to contact you. and that doesnt mean it has to arrive with you in 14 days. if the postmark falls within the 14 days then it doesnt matter if it arrives on the 17th day.

im sending you a PM about something.

im on a two month ban at the moment my self :-(

to make you feel better,,, remember cars on the other side of the road can set it off. it pics up another cars reflection off of another object, and then tricks it.
like a slip error.

my tom tom if im doing 80 says im around 74-75 and at 50 it says about 48. think the gap gets bigger faster you go.

gatsos are meant to be calibrated i think its at 3% and 3 mph over the limit.
so in a 50 camera that would be at 54.4mph ..... to allow for the different speedo readings.

i'l explain some more in the pm....

look on the bright side, there may not have been a camera in it... it will still flash even if there there isnt one in the box..if you can,see what the local police force for the area the camera was in put, have for their guidlines as some are more lenient than others..
