Threads you start...

I added something new to the forum... which I think people will like.


If you go to the edit options (link below) section on your account, at the bottom there are two fields. If you have an AdSense account, you can specify your AdSense client ID (and a channel if you want).


If you specify it, the AdSense ads that are served on threads you start have a 50% chance that they are credited to your AdSense account (both impressions and click-throughs).


If you dont have an adsense account (google it!)

This only applies to the ads that are displayed within the view posts area... and applies only to threads you start..

See advert above this post and below the first? Well, thats the ad. I will roll this out throughout the forum, after its been tested. SO please report back when you have updated your profile with your adsense code.

Gonna be honest with ya gareth sick of seeing the ads already, an fair enough nobodys forcing me to be here but theyre across the top and now between posts,car forum or billboard ??? Know why youve done it but if im honest its irritating as fcuk, sorry to be blunt mate just my opinion.

Hi dave, i do listen honest

As you are prob aware, a site like this costs money to run / be available on a 24/7 basis... something in the region of £70 per month server fees and an annual forum license of £70 (something like that). Adverts bring in some monthly cash to offset these fees.

Can i ask you a question (*anyone can reply) - Would you pay say £5 per year to disable the adverts for your username? i.e. you wont see any?
