Talking happy clappy chappy

Just had scooby remapped by Andy Forrest.
Cant believe what it achieved with very little mods 271bhp and 261lbft torque.
Still has the standard TD04, 3" exhaust consisting of Japspeed high flow cat and Jetex cat back, Green Cotton panel filter, walbro 255lph fuel pump ran on V-Power.

those graphs look a bit all over fella,
You normally get a nice smooth(ish) linear curve, yours looks proper spiky, did Andy make any comments ?

Re: happy clappy chappy

Before the remap he asked me when do I change gear when driving it hard, I told him 6000rpm due to high mileage and that it doesn't accelerate as quick once you hit over 5000rpm.
He said that the way he will map it is to add more power from mid to high rpm.

When he finished I asked if there are any issues. He said the MAF is showing early signs of failing as the engine is hunting revs when first pulling away. I've ordered a new one.

When I drive it hard the power feels very smooth and it is a lot quicker.

Here is a classic I did on the rollers,
Your looks like it is hunting almost, its adding and removing something during each step is the best way to describe it.

Re: happy clappy chappy

He did mention something like when he drove it up a steep hill it lost little boost pressure but then it came back as he came down hill, something do with atmospheric pressure or something, he repeated it to make sure that what it was and it happened again.

I'm happy with the way it drives.

Nice, What was your BHP before you did it?
You also want to be sure to tell your modified car insurance provider to make sure it's properly protected.
