stickers, vinyls from scoobyparts

before I start I am not dissing Scoobyparts.com, I think they have a great service and never had a problem with them.

I ordered a couple of vinyls and I think scoobyparts make the vinyls themselves, could be wrong. Anyway the vinyls are the Colin McRea tribute one, 2x Impreza Turbo 2000, also got STI ones free with Orciari Fog Covers.

When I tried to peel them off the bit of card the Colin and STI ones were fine, but the Turbo 2000 ones wont peel off and its leaving some of the odd letters stuck solid to the card.

Has anyone got a tip on how to get the vinyl of the card without any damage, would gently warming them up with hairdryer work?

thanks.

Warming with a hair dryer can help soften the adhesive.

Re: stickers, vinyls from scoobyparts

Just incase I am being misunderstood, I have not applied the vinyls to the car yet as there is problems removing it from the backing card.

I havnt contacted scoobyparts yet as buy the time I discovered the problem they were shut, also the vinyls are very cheap at about 3.50, so if they ask for the old ones back it wouldnt be worth the postage.

Looks like I'll be trying the hair dryer method tonight.

thanks.

The hair dryer worked, kind of disappointed with the font size of Turbo 2000, i was going to remove the WRX letters off the mud flaps and replace them with those.

how do you get the photos to show as full size instead of thumbnails?

I can do you graphics of any size any font most colours.

I can do the Turbo 2000 ones bigger if thats what you need, they application tape they used was more than likely low tack which means the actual stickers will stick to the card backing more than the application tape. Easy remedy is to put the sticker face down and instead of removing the tape and sticker peel back the card instead and you'll find the stickers comes off fine

Thanks, I'll try get some messurements and font sizes for the logo, basically I would like it to read:

IMPREZA
TURBO 2000

in gold, same font and style as what scoobyparts used only bigger and missing off the AWD of the end of TURBO 2000, that should allow a bit more room to increase the font size.

see link
Scoobyparts Ltd IMPREZA TURBO 2000 AWD STYLE GRAPHIC

Im not in a rush to buy this as it wont be until next year, more important things to buy.

Yeah can do them easy enough in gold. And at same price 3.50 plus postage which would be around 1.50 I think

I might order them early, seems a reasonably price for 1, would you be able to offer discount if I ordered 4 of them?

And do you accept Paypal?

Re: stickers, vinyls from scoobyparts

You'll have to bare with me on this as im not very good with photoshop and working out mm to point (font size).

OK, max height of the vinyl is 50mm, length 250mm thats with both lines like in my mock up below. The spacing between both lines of text can be anything up to 5mm apart.

Let me know if these measurement are any good.

regards
Alun

Do you know the name of the font or can you make a larger better resolution picture as i can then make that into a vector. il also do a search for the font myself see if i can come up with it.
