Re: paint question

If you topped it up with a waterbased top up paint yes it will need laquer, but if its the original subaru top up paint I would still laquer it the laquer will make the colour a bit more shiney and also prevent it from rusting

solid red is already topcoat, and will be fine,

metalic red is basecoat needs laquer

as prev said id laquer what u put on anyway as it protects the red from fading but then again whole car would need it otherwise it will eventually fade to different colours over time as the original paint isnt laquered

Ouch has the radiator rotted or burst through pressure, (hopefully not the headgaskets) least you should be able to pick up a diff without too much hassle.

Re: paint question

i have been to halfrauds today to see if they can get the red in (as it's a little cheaper) but on their system its showing two reds with the same code , is this right? I thought there was only the brilliant red on the classic turbos and the "normal" red was later on?
