To paint or not to paint my alloys......

Afternoon all. I need some advice. My blue scooby has got white alloys. Hmmmm. Not quite to my taste - I want gold ones.
The thing is the actual alloys are in good condition and I like the style of them. Reckon I should just get them painted or will that look naff?

Cheers

What wheels are they :?:

As long as it is done properly it will not look naff unless the style does not suit Gold.....

At the end of the day OZ, Prodrive are just painted Gold they are not anodised or powder coated as far as I know...........

painted wheels

A lad where i work just had the really dull grey wheels on his New cupra R wet painted metalic black by a company that does work for us and they make the whole car look much better, "comparitively speaking naturally".

Looks just like he bought em like it, he just sanded them down and the painters did the rest, "QUALITY" he even added OZ stickers from Halfords, dont laugh dont look bad.

Just had a lad come to my house to do my wheels, repaired all scraps and sprayed them with the latest Subaru paint he also added an extra bit of silver glitter to give them that reflective look. Couple of coats of laquer and at 40 a wheel thought It can't be bad.

Right, i take it all back. I picked the car up today and the wheels have completley grown on me. I must admit Id never heard of them (16" Advan Rally Dirt Track Competion") but they have come up lovely. Im gonna keep as is now. At least for a while.
It was dark by the time I got home so Ill take some picks tomorow.
Does anyone know anything about them? Ive checked google but the Advan site just shows tyres??

Still got big grin on my face from drive home. Noticed a couple of minor things wrong - Im getting a whisltling sound from the drivers side door at the front corner, at first I thought the window was open but on closer inspection it looks like the seal is knackered on the door, it is very noticeable but only over 50mph . Also the dash lights behind the ac and heater keeps flickering Arguably not massive things from a 10 year old car!!!

Can anyone recommend a decent replacement to the Nardi steering wheel on the older WRX's as well? I think they are pretty naff!!

All in all well chuffed! (sorry for the rambling post!)

Cheers all.

Bongo.
