Re: quiet exhaust!! Grrrrr!

No its got no bung in it.. Its straight through there is a small and I mean v small box on the mid pipe. I bought this pipe from exhauts uk and its the non resonated 1 so in theory it should be even louder! As said above the nur spec is one of the best ones out there... I don't know where to turn next!!? Is it the mid pipe, down pipe or do I start choppin the backbox to remove the baffles!!!?

Regards chris

Re: quiet exhaust!! Grrrrr!

de-cat down pipe should help with volume so to speak, got no resonators on my system, sport cat to rear box is all free flow, nothing in the way at all...

the small centre box you have could very well be the causing the quietness so to speak..

It must be your center section fella I have a cat back blitz and where my misses picks up the kids from the school bus the residents have complained to the council about the noise my car makes

Re: quiet exhaust!! Grrrrr!

i have a a 3 inch, 2.5 inch, 3 inch with no cats no resonators and a blitz back box..... it sets off car alarms when i go past at 30mph in 4th..... it makes the interior of my house shake when started up.... people hear me coming about 3 mins before i arrive.. if youre in the back seats you cant hear anything but the pipe and your skull vibrates a little which makes your eyes water..... i had a afterburner before this and that was quieter......
i think you might need a hearing test

Re: quiet exhaust!! Grrrrr!

oh i forgot to meantion... once the centre resonator and centre cat are removed, thats when you ge tthe real rumble.
the blitz nur spec R which includes the centre section has a tiny tiny baffle bit on its 3 inch pipe....
ive got a 2.5 inch hayward and scott centre section with no baffle and a nur spec S (which is just the back box not centre section) and its the same in volume as the 3 inch with the baffle.

the rumble definately comes in once the centre cat is removed.
and then when i decatted the downpipe, it didnt get louder as such, but it changed the sound. i could hear more whine and it spat and popped some more on hard driving or gearing down.
