New Cat pipe for sti

Hi guys. I drive a 2003 sti and the cat is getting tired. Do you know of any sports cats i can use that will still pass on emissions? I hope its the cat anyway, my garage said that it takes a while before the emissions come down to mot levels and it is really slow to respond when cold. When warmed up she is spot on. Thanks, Dave.

Mmm ! Thought I'd read somewhere that the 3rd cat could be removed and still pass the MOT.

edit/ My bad ! Thats the WRX. The STi only has 2 I think

prodrive sports cat in the downpipe will pass the MOT without the other cat in the exhaust.

It makes for a great performing car when mapped for that too.

Re: New Cat pipe for sti

Excellent stuff. I have also managed to find out from scoobyworld that they do a free flow downpipe for 160 which will still pass the mot if the main cat is still fitted. Power gain is between 5-10 horses and turbo spools up quicker, apparently one of the most noticable mods to do. May just do it!
