Re: which exhaust help choose please

Hi, also got a bugeye. Lots of choice out their, 3 main factors to consider IMO looks, build quality and sound. I like a nice burble but no too over the top, Hayward & Scott, Scoobysport, very popular. Maybe youtube some sound samples,

Hi Dan.

Hayward & Scott "classic" or a Prodrive oval tip WR Sport backbox.

id go for the oval prodrive wr if your car has standard exterior and wheels, but if youve changed wheels/tinted windows etc id go for a hks/blitz

Re: which exhaust help choose please

thanks for the replies tried youtube but on my laptop all sound pretty much the same currently im running a prodrive backbox (came on the car when i bought it).
fancy something louder but not so that it drones on the motorway also went to santa pod this wkend and saw loads of scoobys and there seems to be a tendancy to strap tail pipes like dustbins to them i want free flowing but a 6inch tailpipe dont work for me

I went for the scorpion bbox to finish my system off, I had a afterburner resonated centre,
Very subtle tone and good quality.

I have a Scoobyworld Afterburner (Hayward & Scott) didn't like the burnt tip on it but it polished off easy. I have the 3" centre section too, it sounds really loud and burbly I love driving it slowly in a low gear through the town centre it sounds awesome. Like the dissapproving looks from the oldies when i'm only doing 5 - 10 mph.

I'm going for the Blitz Nur Spec on mine. It is loud but you can always stick a baffle in there for those times when you'd like some respite. Very few exhausts out there ound quite like the Blitz imo.

A lot of impreza exhausts also sound louder as they have been decat`d so if your only doing a cat back and keeping ur cats in then that will kill the noise a little

Re: which exhaust help choose please

If you can afford it go for the blitz it is loud but with the bung in you get the best of both worlds. I have a afterburner vortex on mine and at 1st was embarraced to drive it,but now just love it,and with the bung in motorway drivings a pleasure,as said above the ninja is a good system and the ninja 2 which also comes with a removeable bung.
I made my choice and am happy with it ,but if i was to get another system would have to be the blitz. Strictly for the baseheads - awesome sound imho.

Re: which exhaust help choose please

Can totally recommend the Ninja 1. Had a 03 wrx PPP which obviously came with the prodrive back box. But could not believe the difference when I put on the Ninja box. It sounded fantastic…great flat four burble at slow speeds but settles down on motorway cruising. Loved it so much I put one on my 06sti. But doesn’t sound as nice with the 2.5L engine
