Tight Brakes!

Hi all and thanks for having me here!

My front brake (passenger side) is siezing up again and I am well fed up with getting stuffed by the dealership who have had to unstick the siezed piston? twice before.

I want to why and what I can do myself as I am really fed up!

Takes about a year to seize again, and the discs are new but the prob is in the caliper I'm sure.

Any ideas anyone.

Ta Vince

Change the calipers for subaru 4 pots.... You can get some used ones from

GradeA Subaru http://www.gradea-subaru.co.uk/

They should let you know if they will fit... This is a common upgrade on 2 pot impreza's

Just a thought rather than get a sub standard repair from your main dealer.

It may work out cheaper than another trip to the main dealer
All the best

had the same problem twice myself with the same caliper (passenger side). turned out to be a problem with the pins that the caliper slides on weren't allowing it to release. have been told that there is a kit to refurbish/replace these pins but left mine too late and needed a replacement caliper in the end
