Wheel problem, advice needed

I've noticed a squeaky sort of noise coming from the front passenger wheel on my 52wrx.
The sound is similar to the squeak you get when you brake and there's no pad left and its metal on metal, only the noise occurs when the car is in motion, seems to get little louder with velocity...
Doesn't get worse when turning though.

I'm thinking it could be wheel bearings... any other ideas what could be causing this?
If it is the above, how much to fix...

Also, should I continue to drive in this state?

hey bud if you have a metal grinding noise coming from anywhere on your car you shouldn't be driving it, you may be making it worse, jack it up give the wheel a good pull in all directions checking for excessive play, try spinning it and listen and check CV boots, brakes. Stange noises are hard to find unless your there in person. Good luck
Flat out or stopped

Have a look at the back plate between the hub and the disk. Occasionally a stone will hit it and it makes contact with the disk.

The other option is when the pads get worn, the wear indicators rub against the disk so you know when to change the pads. Take the wheel off and check the pads as you may have a caliper that doesnt want to play ball causing undue wear on the pads.
