Kakimoto exhausts?

Finally got round to checking the exhaust on my scoob. It seems to be a Kakimoto R?? Anyone know owt about them?

It's fairly throaty, enough to scare small children but not enough to rub the law up the wrong way. They seem fairly pricey too.

Quote: Product Description.

The most distinguishing point of this exhaust is its large defuser (115mm). When the exhaust gases from the engine pass through the defuser, it will emit a very high tone. The double defuser is also designed to keep the bumper from burning. Basically, the inner defuser emits most heat, then the outer dissipates the remaining heat evenly, preventing the bumper from burning. The rear section of the Kakimoto R, has been polished so as to give it a mirrored look. This makes the Kakimoto R more attractive. Also, the Kakimoto logo is imprinted onto the muffler.

Cheers for the response. That's all i could find on it too. They seem to be dead popular in Japan. Especially with Skyline owners from what i can fathom.

I have a copy of the Hyper Rev catalog Vol 107 and it is in it. It gives a phone number of 072-265-8411. As the supplier in Japan

The exhaust is available for all models from GF8 to GDB. Has other info but I can not read japanese

You can get in this country via SUMO power (who supplied me this catalog)

That'll be it.

Though mines not quite as raspy as that last clip. Got a bit more in the bass.
