Question Replacing MY06 STi spoiler

Ordered a replica SYMS spoiler - had it imported from the USA, and it arrived on Friday.
The winglets are in the bodyshop getting painted and should be ready mid week.
The wing is a direct replacement fot the _top half_ of the stock sti wing.
It looks fairly easy to remove the old one and fit the new wing, but if anyone has experience of doing it, any instructions/handy tips would be brilliant...

here's a picture of the new wing on an 06:

Sure... You can contact the supplier 'PaperChasin' in the U.S. from this thread:
http://www.iwsti.com/forums/showthread.php?t=42105
his contact details are on the thread.

Not sure how many/if any; of these wings he has left now... I know he was down to about 10 when I ordered mine.
Also, shipping cost is pretty steep.

The trickest bit i contended with was the clip to the light wiring! but then you dont have to do that really straight forward job - may be best with two people... "steady as she goes"

send us in some pics once sorted

I like the stock STi wing better.

The stock wing is nice, however I just like my car to look that little bit different.
+ the c/f wing goes well with the black '06 rear roof vane.

Thanks for the tip about the wiring gareth - I was hoping I wouldn't have to remove the full spoiler, i.e. was hoping just to remove the top half so as to avoid having to disconnect the rear light. However, I read somewhere there is two 'safety wires' running right through the wing which require to be cut, and so it's easier to remove the full wing.

I'm gonna take my time and spend saturday afternoon swapping it over :o)
