a question that i think 22b andy should be able to help me on ...........

took my car to my garage today for the lads to give it the once over & have found out a few things ................

1. it's got a nice shiny new imported fuel filter insted of the now custermary black plastic jobbys ............ why ????

2 . the middle section is WELDED to the back box ........... same as my p1 so not a prob .........

3 . weirdest of all , it's got a massive downpipe & i'm talking 3"+ by the looks of it & i was told theres not cat on it at all . .......... now i know i should be worried abit by this but i'm not for some reason as i think shes bin mapped before .I havn't checked t see if theres a different ecu yet but will do ........ andy mate there should obviously be a cat on but where should it be ?? on the downpipe or midd section ?????

We have the shiny Fuel filters state side as well

I think it varies by production run. Perhaps subaru's using a different manufacturer now? not sure.. but that's what's in my Impreza as well.

As far as your cat....
It is likely that there is one further back in the mid pipe section.
Perhaps it's been modified for a high flow cat.
