05 WRX Wagon PPP or Afterburner exhaust sys + chip/remap?

Hi Fellow men, and women ;-) just bought an 05 impreza wagon 225BHP the exhaust note is very disappointing, so...... do I go for the PPP for 40BHP and get stung for 1650 (but keep my warranty) or go for the lovely afterburner vortex performance pack:
1)Afterburner Vortex Ultra-High Performance Rear Silencer (angled exit).
2) Afterburner Centre section
3) Afterburner decat 'Cat' pipe
4) JR Performance Panel filter
and get 20BHP for 500 and then do an engine remap or chip? if its the later does superchips have a chip for the 05 wrx yet? What about induction kits ? or is best to leave the OEM panel filter alone as I've heard that oil from other filters affects the Sensors.
Or would you guys recommend something else?
all help appreciated!

Stay with your Warranty. Believe me it is worth it. That said have a word with your friendly Subaru dealer about a decat then you will know which route to take.

Get yourself a Green Cotton replacement panel filter

Also I went PPP to keep my warranty and fitted a HKS Hyper system from downpipe back

Oh and a Superchip is not a good mod.

Remap if you are going to go the Vortex route. If the 05 still has a CAT in the up-pipe then I would bin that as well if you go the Vortex route.
Then later when MOT is due change the centre for a Sports CAT.

Mind you if you ditch the Warrenty then you can go mad with upgrades

That all said in 4 years of ownership I have had under warranty
Shock Absorber
Clutch
Flywheel
Aircon pump
Radiator
Gearbox rebuild
plus other little bits

Around the 3000 mark with Labour......

Cheers Pete, Think the PPP surgery will be taking place soon then, sounds like you had some trouble with build quality? does the pro-drive back box sound good then? or should this be replaced? is there any other subaru warranty friendly mods worth doing?
Cheers

The Prodrive box sounds OK (It does sound a lot better than the standard item) BUT you will quickly (maybe) want something a bit louder/deeper....

You could just get the Vortex back box at a later date.

Another good mod is lowering springs either Prodrive or Eibach (same thing)

Does make the car sit better.
