Help with getting that 'rumble'!

1st Post, I'm a newbie here

I'm trying to get my RX to have that 'subaru' rumble. Got a highflow cat, stock headers, 2.5 stainless steel all the way through to a twintip varex. Right now it's got a tiny little bit of the boxer burble, like just as you take off. Other then that, it sounds like any other car on the road. How can I make it sound something like this.. (see vid below)

Suggestions on headers or whatever? Got about 500ish to spend.

Btw, it's a 1999 Subaru Impreza RX, non turbo, my project car, Thanks in advance.

With a straight through exhaust, if nothing else the volume should be a good level higher than a normal car. Not sure on the brand of exhaust u mentioned so difficult to comment.

Re: Help with getting that 'rumble'!

I reckon you need to remove the twin tip imo mate, you need a nice big bore back box for a loud roar. It doesn't have to be as big as 5" or 6" a 3 or 3.5" will give you a nice burble.

Alternatively if you really want to stick with the twin tip exhaust try buying an induction kit as this definitely add some volume. Although a remap is advised when fitting an induction kit.

To get the scooby burble you need an unequal length manifold

Hi, you should try an Afterburner Vortex rear box, and an unequal length manifold to get that true scooby rumble.
