Exhaust fitting!!

hi everyone,
im looking at buying this package Impreza Turbo 2001-2005 New Age : Subaru Impreza Afterburner Exhaust System Package
Just wondering if it would be something easy enough to do myself or would you recommend professional fitment

easy enough to DIY

jack + axel stands or ramps,ratchet + spanners,WD40 and job's a good 'un

the O/E ones won't fit bud,think the afterburner is a 3" straight through where as the O/E systems are 2.5"..
best be getting new gaskets,should be supplied as part of the kit..

If it's decat don't forget to keep your original system for the MOT time or it's a fail !!

Yeh i did wonder about that cheers. Although is says this on the site (Please note that this kit keeps the original downpipe in place, therefore should pass MOT emissions.) any ideas how it does that??

Yeah may be right but if it hasn't got the cat it will still fail an mot unless you know a friendly mot station ?

ok cheers one last thing, the back box says it can either be straight exit or angled exit whats that mean?

Its how the tail pipe come out of the back. I prefer straight out but see loads coming out at an angle

i got a 4.5" tailpipe angled exit 'JAP CAN' system with 3" pipework off ebay, looks the dogs bollocks. but may get the 'Afterburner Vortex' rear silencer angled exit as its got less back pressure, so I have been told.
