early classic 2 pot front calipers?

Whats the verdict on standard Subaru 2 pot front calipers on early classics, such as do they have enough stopping power or total crap or will decent pads be enough for fast road use?

Already read a few posts on here but I cant quite make my mind up if I should get a an earlier classic and upgrade the brakes to Subaru 4 pots or later classic that already has the Subaru 4 pots fitted.

And there is some very nice early classics out there.

thanks in advance.

If you run the right pads they are ok, I ran the mintex 1155s and they were awesome, depends how you use your brakes and your power etc.

Re: early classic 2 pot front calipers?

I ran mine on a wrx on a Z4 ecu so same kind of power, if the callipers are in good nick and you put a good pad in you dont need 4 pots,
If your going to do a few track days the 4 pots are better( well the bigger discs are),
The other thing is the bigger discs and callipers add weight too so you have to balance it all up.
