Shock absorber problems ?

Found this post on the WR1 forum.

I was wondering if anybody on this forum has had any such problems. Mine really has a very annoying knocking at the rear.

Mine got replaced under warrenty a while ago.

There is also another known rattle from the back end, behind the rear seat are some vertical bars set about 50 mm in from the pull down section on the rear seat, the screws securing these come loose too and are a bit of a begger to get at unless you remove the rear seat section.

Thanks Buzz !

To the astonishment of my neighbours who first heard some heavy Flemish swearwords and then saw black 'n blue rear seat walk around, I did the seats yesterday. Everything was well and tight there.

Why did your shocks get replaced under warranty ? On my former cars, I only needed to replace them after 90000m when they worn out. Never known any probs with shockabsorbers.

Car is under warranty still (2 years old next month). I think I'll take it along to a guy here locally to check the shocks first. Closest dealer is at 60 miles from here... :slap:

Common on the newage stuff... Mine were done just before I bought it. Tiley of Bristol infor me there is a mod out to cure this problem but it seems subaru do not want to recall all scoobs for new shocks and the mod to be done...I will get new shocks and the mod done just before warrentee runs out...
