Spluttering and coughing through boost

Hi,
I got 96 2000 Turbo, when I boot her, durring boost she splutters, coughs, backfires, not all at the same time! lol! But shes generally holding back durring boost. Sounds almost like a misfire? She used to throw me back in the seat and make me shout ye_ha! But not any more. Dont get me wrong, shes still pretty quick, but nothing like she was. Had a similar problem in the summer, bolt had come out of where intake pipe meets intercooler, not so simple this time. Any ideas would be gratefully received

Re: Spluttering and coughing through boost

Just to update, i've had all the intake off, vacuum hoses, solenoid etc, no problems. Am very unsure wot plug gap should be? Have NGK PFR6's installed the min, gapped at 0.7. I have now gapped them at 0.6, splutter/ hesitation has gone, might be me, but doesnt feel quite as much grunt as before! Any one any ideas on plug gap, I have read from 0.8 down to 0.5??? Thats quite a variation???
