Re: engine coolant

Had a top hose go on my bugeye WRX this week. So had to do a bit of research.

Water contents 7.7 litres (from totally dry engine rebuild etc)
You will probably only need 4.5 - 5 litres to fill up.
Don't forget anti-freeze as you fill. I put in 3 litres of blue.
Turn heater control to max heat. Allows water to flow through matrix.
Fill slowly through header tank. "Burp" as you go by squeezing bottom and top
hoses. When you can't get any more in run the engine with the cap off til warm
You will probably have to top up again. Put cap on and check after a run (when it's cool !!)

Re: engine coolant

as above!also found it helps having car on a slope pointing up!the filler tank is at is highest point then and all air rises to your filler tank!nose down and your likely to hold an air lock some where
