oil seals on turbo gone is it safe to run car !!!

hello just had a chat with engine tuner in plymouth about my impreza project etc.very helpful with my apexi etc it has come to light that my turbo seals are going or gone due to oil in intercooler pipe etc my q is will i damage car if i use it carefully ie not boost it all the time cheers peter

cheers by aj you i guess mean enginetuners !!! they didnt actually say dont drive it !!! seemed really busy hence asking the question !!!! well it waas free advise the impression i got if i dont boost f out of it will be ok for a bit but they didnt actually say wether i can drive or not as just wanted to gety of phone understandbly !!!! so after your opinions cheers most prob been like it for ages as chap i bought car off knew nothing about cars !! i didnt pay alot for car infact it was half price !!! peter

if the seals have gone,i'd just put it away n sourch a new tubby for it bud,safer option,or send the unit off for a refurb

ive known people drive em for ages with seals gone but its daft really, oil getting where it aint supposed to is never gonna be good and will eventually feed its way into ya engine no doubt so just get it fixed bud

cheers peps just set my apexi to 0 as recommended by enginetuner done proper flush and syn oil change and everything seems ok -touchwood !!!! only paid 1k for car with 12months mot and 65k miles !!!! but oil was bad so im hoping new oil will keep things going !!! doesnt seem to smoke now anyway which was my main concern so new plugs cambelt next and fingers crossed .no hard pedal should be ok for a bit my mechanic said !!! well its booked in for belt etc so will wait to see what he says well chuffed now 1k for black inpreza turb cant be bad £50 spent on it so far and well happy !!! peter
