changing fuel filter

I was wondering if changing the fuel filter is just a straight forward swap over or is there a specific way to do it? Cheers.

Re: changing fuel filter

Let engine cool a coulpe of hours before you do this, releve fuel pressure by starting car till it cuts out with the connector disconnected from fuel pump, then take negative lead off battery, then disconnect hoses from filter and note the order you take them off dont mix up inlet and outlet hoses make sure you have plenty rags cause they still be some fuel spluirt out, then new filter back on, reconnect connector for fuel pump, battery negative lead back on, then start car check for leaks, and Bobs your unlce job done

Hi rich.

You have to remove the backseat to do the STi fuel pump.

Hi rich.

The classic saloon/wagon fuel pump is still in the same location. "backseat"
