To be honest guys when I did start to strip it hated the thought of dismantling it. Lot of time went into it but worth it all in the end..........

I polished one and painted one last week, it took me about 10 hours to polish but half that to paint, custom wrinkle finish in wr blue, totally changes the engine bay .

Hay Bob thatís no bad blue sounds good I been looking around my self. Where did you get the paint from ? any idea what the colour code is. Is it like navy blue or dark blue.

WR Blue is 02C mica colour you painted metallic color on your engine bob
theres still 2 shades light and dark similer colour to it is sonic blue mica
i got three workshops one of them is a scooby shop
been doing painting for last 20 years.
got 6 scoobys my self i thing that makes me more then a fan

Most colours codes do have more then one shad some have up to 4 thatís why they have colour chips to match the closes shad the reason been they will match other Subaru models doesnít have to be a impreza. For example most vw colours are the same codes to go on Porsches.
The Ďmetallic not really recommended for engines will peel off with heat bob you will have a right job stripping it down again. Am looking for a solid colour closer 02c thought i got the engine out for a rebuild might as well paint it there must be something in the market which can just go on and its heat resistance.
