Low Idle then Cuts Out - Caused From?
Hi guys, well I'm a newbie to this forum so please be patient.
I have a 1997 JDM WRX Impreza Wagon that has idle issues and could do with any advice you all got:
Car idles fine whilst warming up (actually idles GREAT when still cold I find) will idle @ 850rpm approx. maybe lil higher. When I take her out for a drive, I have no dramas while driving about until ready to come to a stop or roll gradually in neutral. that's when the idle drops to pretty much 0 and if no gas applied will then cut out, and I'll have to turn key to restart. (Which car does)
Took car to a mechanic, who scanned and found x2 faults -
#1 Air Flow Meter
# 2 ISC Valve
So I brought brand new Air Flow and mechanic supplied ISC Valve fitted both & cleared faults from ECU.
Picked up car drove home with no issues, was like a new car ..... until she got to running temp that's when the idle issues returned. So took car straight back. Re-scanned NO faults ..... Grrr
So what else could be causing the problem? PLEASE HELP

was the IACV (ISC Valve) new ?
If not then you may need to get it cleaned, they gunk up, your old one may have just needed a clean tbh.
