P0303 persists

2002 WRX, no mods, 70K miles. Driving on motorway engine management light started flashing, slowed down got home no problem. On idle rough running.
MAP sensor, seems OK 1v/10PSI approx.
OBD gives 0303P
New plugs fitted on all cylinders
Coil packs swapped 1/3 & 2/4
Same code 0303P
Runs fine at high revs and performance good at high speed.
Tick over rough as hell, remove connection to coil pack on 3 no difference, any other cylinder makes a difference. Remove connection to injector on 3 again, no difference to idle.
Guessing it's the injector on cylinder 3, close to turbo, get's the most heat.
Can the injector on cylinder 3 be replaced in situ?
Looks difficult, part of the cooling system above it, rear facing, turbo stuff in the way.
So what's best, remove the whole inlet manifold?
Any experience out there
