Unhappy HELP! My Speedo Sensor has snapped in my gearbox

Ive got a 2002 WRX uk Bugeye and my speedo sensor has snapped in hole where it plugs into my gearbox so I cant plug a new on in which is cause my car to run in limbo and it drives like a bag of shite... it cuts out... it wont boost over 4500rmp.... its an absolute nightmare Ive just had a brand new engine fitted and ive never been able to run my Scooby to full potential and its really annoying me.
I cant afford a new gearbox so i'm hoping one of you Scooby pros know how to get the snapped bit out of the hole without F**king my gearbox, any help is greatly appreciated, Sara X

Re: HELP! My Speedo Sensor has snapped in my gearbox

Thanks 'The Pilot', I think I'll have a go at the weekend... It can't be that hard to take the gearbox out in put it back..... can it? I'll draw diagrams as I go so I know what goes where... ;-) you never know Pilot you might just see me flying passed you in my non-idle-running Scooby? or you might see me posting another HELP thread haha, I'll probably be in touch,
Thanks again for your help Sara x

Re: HELP! My Speedo Sensor has snapped in my gearbox

hmmm, dropping the without a ramp is pretty tricky as the prop and zorst have to drop, then it's a case if crack the box away from the engine 8 bolts iirc then engine steady bar under the tmic and the 4 bolts on the gearbox saddle...if you do end up flaying past me,you'll be down in devon..lol
