Crank seal

Hi, my mechanic say that the oil leak is due to the crank seal. How much should this cost cos he says it's 3 hours labour plus parts. Cheers!

Re: Crank seal

Hi, I think to establish that the seal (crank seal?) is the culprit 100% the mechanic would of had to of gone down the route of cover and belt off - so not sure how this could of been established - ie if you had got to it to diagnose then its easier to change there and then right? 15 ish for the part. Maybe Im getting confused but seems odd to diagnose this is the problem without changing the seal there and then.
