Unhappy very worried!!!

hope someone can help me with this.
i recently changed the oil in the scoob using castrol magnatec 5w 40 semi synthetic.ever since then a bottom end knock has started and progressively got worse!
this only happens when i start it from cold and when i pull off,but does not happen when the engine is at idle or if i rev it when its stationary??
i have no loss of power/boost or any difference in oil pressure or temperature
any ideas??

Re: very worried!!!

when did you change the oil ? has it been around 2 months or so ? did you put a genuine OEM filter or after market.? normally after market filters start calapsing inside metal housing and it starts giving the oil pump a hard time on cold. what about once the car is worm does it still do the same thing?. whats the millage on the car.?

Why would you do a oil change and scrimp on a filter ?

Re: very worried!!!

Bobs right the oil will cost you more then the filter . Make sure you get a genuine OEM filter they are a little extra on the price but they better brand then the after market ones. if you got a a little cutter slice the top of the old filter metal housing you wont see much of the filter inside but sludge.
