probably a silly question.....

im new to subarus, so this could be a realy silly question.

why do all the subarus im trying to get parts off have diferent parts to mine??

ive got 4x seperate coils, all the scoobs ive found breaking have got a coilpack on the top, and 4x plugleads?

also the airflow meter plugs are all different to mine

is it different years, different spec, or imort/ non import/

my cars a uk 1996 turbo 2000.

holding back on boost when its properly warmed up. before it warms up it will be ok.

if i give it welly when warmed up it will stutter right up the revs. but if a gently accelerate on half throttle it seems to be ok 90% of the time.

Re: probably a silly question.....

have you removed the Induction kit and tried it with a airbox ? it may be leaning out due to the "superfilter inductionkit" and not being mapped for it.

Re: probably a silly question.....

Its hittting overboost, aka the ecu is pulling it back to try to save the engine from damage.

As bob says mods can cause this, whats it had done to it? or could be a sensor fault

Re: probably a silly question.....

yeh, im notsure if its been mapped or not? and dont have the airbox to try

the 'superfilter' is a green label. ( what does that mean???)

im going to change the boost controler (as ive got one spare) and see if it helps it.

then clean the MAF with carb cleaner.

whats the difference with the maf laber colours?isit different years? power capabilities, or just varies depending on the model of car???

Why not just buy a airbox and try that

Re: probably a silly question.....

no they arent, the maf is bolted to the filter with an adaptor,
You need a airbox or your going to be chasing ur tail, if the car isnt mapped for the filter thats fitted it doesnt matter what parts you change as it wont matter, fitting a 10 airbox will rule that problem out and imo will sort your issue out.
