Ppp swap over, newbee please help

Hi all,
Just swapped over from VW to Subaru and loving it so far, have got a 55 plate blobeye wrx wagon, its has got the prodrive full exhaust system on it when i brought it, just picked up a ppp ecu and y-pipe from an 03 plate wrx wagon that has been broken.
Took the ecu and car to local subaru dealer to recode to car and keys, they tell me that they could not do it as the ecu is from an 03 plate, personally i think that they just didnt have the know how???
Any ideas are welcome please

no, different ecu`s, your as well just getting your own ECU remapped Via Open source mapping, works out cheaper and you will gain more.

Graham Engine mapper, he is mobile and uses many rolling roads around the UK so he will be able to help.

Id fit a Walbro Fuel pump,a decent Panel filter, and a decat`d up pipe and the Y pipe you already have, then a remap, the exhaust you have has a sports cat in so will keep you legal for the mot .

Re: Ppp swap over, newbee please help

^^^^ what he said. As long as your exhaust is turbo back and not cat back. If its prodrive from turbo back then it's fine. If its cat back then look into Decat or sports cats - makes a huge difference

Re: Ppp swap over, newbee please help

Been trying to sort out mods recomended, but money is tight! just been offered a 2005 wrx300 ppp ecu dead cheap, and going back to my original post in this thread, will this work on my car? Im guessing it should do as its the same year, any replies are a god send as this could be a nice starting block for me with my current funds
Thanks in advance
Dan
