it might be flywheel or clutch related could you post more info i.e hot or cold, hard or normal driving etc.

Re: juddering at 4000rpm

yeh sure, its only on flat out driving i.e on full boost in 3rd to 5th gears and i dont boot it unless oil temp and pressure are ok,ive been told by alot of people its the maf and that even if it is breakin down then the car may still run even if u unplug it while its running.ive also had the maf out and the metal bits are very dull when they used to be shiney

Re: juddering at 4000rpm

is it juddering like a misfire i.e really fast judder but fairly soft or is hard judder but not as fast.can you hear a difference in the engine when it happens.try changing plugs they might not be coping under load or check spark gap if plugs were changed.if it is hard judder it might be spiggott bearing in the flywheel. if thats cracked it will show symptoms of judder and they will remain the same on occasion but that will involve gearbox removal so it will have to be checked properly.hope that helps

Re: juddering at 4000rpm

If it still runs when maf is disconnected then the maf is fooked
