Re: subaru impreza 1.6 4wd

putting a turbo on any non turbo scoob is a huge job and increased premiums for modified n/a cars are normally dearer than a turbo, on top of that brakes gearbox and suspnsion all need to be uprated too. Not worth the hassle

so u ar telling me no point buying that 1.6 subaru 4wd just i found many posts that that car is very weak standart has only 90bhp, mb its posible to modify something but still i think won't squeeze a lot from that car.

All depends if you can put up with a slow one if you can't insure a turbo.

in ireland for example u can take 1.6 subaru put turbo in and u can pass nct with turbo, and still have cheap insurance because on log book it would say that its just 1.6 non turbo version, with turbo i am just too young atm to insure, now i am drivinng passat b5.5 2001 1.6 102 bhp still insurance quite high but im thinking of something more powerful like subaru for example

I'm in northern Ireland close to the roi border - heard all this before. Prang it and see how the assessor sees the log book being incorrect. Could find out your not insured at all.

I'm with shambles on that one, we've all been young drivers once and i can guarantee we all have got stories of accidents we've had in the 1st few years... Any undisclosed mods you have should be easily removable in case of an accident. Would a non turbo'd 2ltr be a insurable option for you?

Re: subaru impreza 1.6 4wd

dunno if 2litre i would be able to find an insurance cause i'm still very young have like 1 year driving experience 1 year no claim bonus and 2.0 is quite high very hihg tax for it but i looked online 1.6 has 95hp 2.0 non turbo has 160hp 2.0 version would be fast enough i think
