2006 Impreza - fitted with remote locking as standard?

I just bought a 2006 Impreza 1.6 (in Singapore) and received only 1 key from the dealer, a non-remote locking one at that. There was no metal tag with key numbers on either.

The car has central locking, but no alarm.

My question is this - should my car have been fitted with remote locking as standard, and if so, how do I get a new key with remote locking to work without getting a Subaru main dealer shafting?
