ECU PROBS

so got the car back today and weep weep its not simple
there is fault in the ecu
when the car is underload the car is to go to +5 but she only hits +3 and then drops to -1 and then back again
this intermittent but is what my fault is
second the trubo is only hittin .8 bar boost and then the ecu is cutting its fuel
extreme sadness
so options are ecu to the ecu doctor for repair and rebuild about 150 and a manuel boost valve set at 1 bar ish again 100 quid
the guy that owns the garage has done tonnes of these and had all the equipment to get it right
he can also remap the car but in his experience the valve would be better and give me the best return
he did comment how clean and sound mine was and it was a shame that the ecu has this glitch

do u run the same turbo ?
I take it yours is the same pin/plug connector?

Im not a big fan of a MBC i rather have the ecu control it and have all the safety features it can provide,
Whats actually the issue with your ecu ?

And yes the Uk turbo is a TD04 so you need to whip ur ecu out and take a picture of the pins/connectors and see if its exactly the same us urs,
If you got the Prodrive ecu ur getting a nice map on it.

the fault lies on the fuel on load instead of hitting +5 the ecu is only hitting +3 and then dropping to -1
also the turbo is only hitting .8 boost and then the ecu isnt allowing for fuel
had it reset 4 times and the fault keeps comming back

so a remap wouldnt sort it ?
Is it a map issue on ur ecu, i cant work out how that happens (sorry to sound thick) or is it a PCB type damage?

the guy said he thought it was a software prob but advised to send it to ecu doctor incase it was actually physically broken i think
its all too confusing he has the kit to remap but said it wouldnt work
cant get it fixed either so have to find a replacement

Very strange Fault chap, its as if a sensor is faulty and giving the ECU duff info.

yeah thats what i thought aswell
but the guy says the sensors voltage are all ok just the cam sensor was slightly variable very very slightly.
was looking for a ppp ecu anyway so
but shambles has said i can head up and use his obd cable
