Recommendations of Speakers

Hiya

Want to replace my front and rear speakers but don't have a clue on which to go for.

Don't want to spend too much, but enough to get a good sound.

My current Stereo is a Alpine 9807.

Would prefer speakers that would just go in without any modifications.

My car is a Subura Impreza 2000 Turbo (year 2000).

Any help appreciated.

Have a look here http://www.subaru-impreza.org/subaru...pic.php?t=2667
to get good speakers in you will need to make a spacer ring.... Not to difficult a job

Infinity Kappa605cs for the fronts are a good choice

Cheers Pete.

Have been told though that the above speakers are not very good on their own and that they really need to be run with a sub/amp. I don't really wanna do that so can anyone confirm whether its true or not?

Hi, just to let you just had an install this is what i found out but you can check out my article on ice but i'll be quick if you got a uk car FRONTS your limited to a 13cm or 5" speaker and the rears are the same however if you got a import you can go up to 16.5cm or 6.5" the choice is yours i have heard various setups as follows:::::::::::

1st system setup Focal front and rears powered by 2 Gensis amps that was impressive so was the price 1600

2nd system was infinity front and rears with a diamond /dymond amp and sub package the price 1150

3rd system phoenix gold totally blew me away i just had to have it 854 only cos i told them internet prices

its all a matter of preference how ever i would like to say if you fancy going to florida with a couple of mates never mind mickey mouse but a shopping trip you can get all of phoenix gold out there at half the price and megiuars and air filters the list is just endless hope ive helped
