unknown elec plug

hi i have an impreza sport 1999, the plastic round hand brake was broke so i decided to replace it when i taking it off iv found a elec socket but no switch its masking tapped to the elec mirror wires im wondering if any1 no's what it is for?

folding mirrors maybe or something to do with the optional heated seats..

the folding mirror switch is on the dash and if you haven't got the motors fitted then it won't do anything anyway.
Most cars have lots of spare wires as it will be a standard loom. Start pulling bits off and you'll see lots more spare plugs

thanks iv tryed doing things with it and no matter what i do no power comes throw, i think matt is right it is just a spare plug. thanks guys

hi mate just noticed you on line and thought id c if you could help me .iv just rebuilt my lecacy tt and dropped engine back in but it wont start theres no spark .could it be something to do with the immobiliser .
