lambda lambda arrrr

hi you couldnet help me could you
i cahnges my lambda sensor today used on of the universal ones the old one was a bosch
so crimped the black to black and white to white job done then i noticed the wiring on the car there a pure white wire, black and white and a yellow and red not a problem and the plug still matches as do the colour of the connectors ie two silver and one copper but the black signal wire through ther plug does not wire up to the black white on the car it goes to white???? done the diagnostic and the car reporst all well but im still getting slight heitation at 2500 revs MAF is ok question is is the lambda wired up right or is there something elese going on??

Sorry cant help on the colour wires as never fitted one in a scoob yet but some1 should know

my old lambda sensor had a snapped wire but still diagnostic said car was ok. so i wouldnt trust the machine, you will find though if its not connected right then normally above 90mph the check engine light will light up. as for wiring as long as you have joined the wires up same as before then it should be ok,
