Weird Tail light / Brake light problem!!

Lightbulb Weird Tail light / Brake light problem!!

Hiya guys, wondering if anyone can help. A friend of mine recently pointed out that when i put on my tail lights, the right hand cluster has the brake light on at the same time?, i've checked its the correct bulb and even swapped with other side but still both filaments light up??, any ideas?, thanks

sounds like a bad earth,best bet is,to check the inserts for any crud also check the earth leads in the boot area and put in 2 new bulbs,should solve the prob..

I have checked the bulb holder, there is a black wire coming off of the side that links up with two others before going to the plug, all seems fine here, is this where you mean or is there an earth hidden somewhere else?, been driving me mad for ages as it seems like such a stupid problem, lol!

there are earthing straps in the inner rear wings,2 on the passengerside iirc and 1 on drivers,(well there is on mine)

iirc=if i remember correctly...
probably a crap connection,could well be a break in the wire on the crimped connector...
