R.Diff Temp light Flickering

Hi everyone, I've just joined after experiencing the above.
I have a Sep 04 WRX Sti and recently the dif temp light came on, I eventually traced it to being the sensor wire not being plugged into the diff. After plugging the lead back in the light went off but occaisionally the light flickers, usually when accelerating hard..ish.

Is this likely to be a dodgy connection/sensor or something genuinely serious. There's absolutely no dodgy sounds coming from the diff so I'm sure there's no mechanical issues.

Many thanks.

Brilliant, cheers Pete, there is some corrosion so I'll give it a clean up tomorrow and check if it improves matters.

Also, is there a particular oil you'd reccommend to use in the rear diff.

Thanks again

Motul 90PA LS SAE90 is specially formulated for Limited Slip Differentials (LSD) Subaru's Driver Controlled Centre Differential (DCCD) arrangement.
