Speaker Sizes - Front and Rear

Hi guys - I know this one has been asked before but most of the threads I can find seem to link to chiark's FAQ which is no longer with us

Its a simple question really - what sizes of speakers should I get for my MY02 WRX? I'm looking to replace both the front and rear speakers and I am looking for a nice smooth installation. Really not looking to cut the car!

I was thinking Infinity as a brand - I've had good experiences with them in other cars and they generally have quite a shallow depth which is always helpful in scoobies!

I understand that spacers are all but essential but I was hoping to avoid using MDF as I've had bad experiences with it in my previous classic so are there any off-the-shelf ones or does anyone have any other clever solutions?

Re: Speaker Sizes - Front and Rear

Found 2 very good do-it-yourself speaker install links with detailed explanation/ pictures.

The spacers are made of MDF.

Stock front speakers are 5.25" and the rears are 4" (Up-date) on rear speakers. 2004 Impreza have 5.25"
