weird water temp gauge indicator drop
Hello guys,
I just noticed this weird case. when my engine is cold, the water temp is at C level. However, when I started my car, it drops below the C (about 5mm more). How come? Someone told me it is due to poor grounding problem. Can anyone help? Thanks |

ahh, tis normal mate, its cos its stone cold and below the level the temp gauge can read.
as long as it heats up and stay more or less in the middle of the gauge when running then its totaly fine ![]()

if your talking about wheel bhp your not gonna be able to hit 280 on the sti turbo, you'll need a bigger after market one to hit that sort of figure.
Other thing to consider is at 280 atw your on if not over the limit of reliability of the standrad engine and gearbox, i'm not up on malaysian spec impreza's but looks very much like a uk turbo so the engine and box wont take that kinda power im afraid
