Ecu question

Hi fellas am new on ere like. What it is I stripped my interior y.day to wet vac everything as I have just got the car. Stripped down the centre console an found 2 wires to nothing so I tracked them to passenger foot well and they went to the ecu :s so I lifted the ecu out and took the metal plate off
The ecu an the wired are connected with plastic wire joinings I will upload some pics. But does anyone have a ruff idea? I thought it might of been for a launch control? Really don't know
Cheers guys

Re: Ecu question

thats a easy one, the wires go to J1, this switches you between the standard map and the chip thats fitted.

Re: Ecu question

the piggy back board is already plugged into the socket and the 2 black things will be the typical chip u see, it could be your blitz @ 400 quid.

Re: Ecu question

similar design to urs with the 2 small chips,
u dont need a switch just twist the wires together or undo them with the ignition off.

Re: Ecu question

Id b tempted to get it on a rolling road to check the fuelling after ur induction kit, the wires on the ecu would be better soldered on too imo, but while there you could test it with the switch on and off to make sure its all ok.
