Immobiliser and alarm LED's

I want to remove the plastic on the center console that houses the LED's for the immoilbiser and the alarm light, but i have to dissconnect them to get the plastic off.

By disconnecting them will it affect the car, as in will it set off the alarm or keep the immobiliser on completely or is it safe?

I've looked behind the ciggeret lighter and theres an earth on it and 2 plugs, is it the earth the for the lighter or something else? if it's the earth for the lighter surely that means it's safe to dissconnect as there would be nothing else to be earthed. other wise i can't see any other way of removing the cover.

I'll have to post some pictures up soon to show you guys how stripped the car is

Re: Immobiliser and alarm LED's

all is fine, you don't remove the earth thats on the lighter, just unplug the 2 main plugs from the loom and it's fine. i assume the LED;s have a permanent live form the battery though? so atm all i can do is hide it lol.
