Camera software?

Ok, I'm anxious to post pics of my car (and maybe a couple of my brothers car, if he is nice) but we aren't sure what software we might need? we have a Panasonic digital camera (not sure of the exact model). My bro is going to Best Buy tonight to get a new memory stick so we can save more pictures, so do you guys have any idea what software he should get?

We already have the USB cable to connect the camera and the computer, but we can't download pics onto the computer.

Thnks for any help/advice you might have. Sorry for the newbie computer question!

camera

My digital camera is a Fuji 2600 Zoom and it came with a CD to load the FinePix software onto the PC. Did your camera come with any CD software?

What i would suggest is buying something like:

http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...duct_uid=30929

This would allow you to copy the pics to your pc without involving the camera. Basically it reads directly from the memory car,,, You must make sure that your card is compatible before anything liek this...

Take a look

Gareth, that reader thing would be perfect, thank you for pointing me in that direction. My brother is going to look for one at the electronics store today. I will let you know how it goes.

and Cat, we got "hooked up" with this camera, a friend of ours works for Panasonic and it was returned because of a scratch on the case. It didn't come with the software unfortunately.

It looks like the memory card reader should work out just perfect.

They do work like a dream..... Especially if the card is used for other things too (like a PDA or something)

Hey Gears,

maybe the following would help :

http://www.panasonic.com/consumer_el...s/software.asp

Just browsed the net and it came up with this site,

not sure what model of Camera that you have, but when I got mine which was a FUJIFILM I had to install the drivers to
a: get the PC to recognise the camera via USB and
b: Installed something called EXIF viewer which extracts the photos from the camera, once connected via USB and powered on.

I'm sure if you check out some of the Panasonic support pages, or mail them with the model no etc of your camera, then they should be able to send you something.

Best of Luck
